Elena arrived at the Mikaelson house to look for Elijah. She had ended things cordially with the Salvatores and wanted to be with him. She also wanted to invite him to a party that she was holding at her new place with beka and elizabeth, She walked up to the door and knocked to wait for someone to answer it.

I was sitting in the library reading a book when someone knocked. I listened and didn't detect a heartbeat. I looked at the page number and closed my book. I set it down on the table and headed towards the door. I straightened my dress shirt since I left my suit jacket in the library. I opened the front door and raised my eyebrow at seeing Elena standing there. "Miss Gilbert, what can I do for you?"

"I just came to say welcome back and to give you an invitation to our party me and the girls are having" she said as she pulled the invite out of heerjeans and handed it to him."I hope you can come. Rebekah and I will be glad if you came"

I took the invitation that she handed me and looked at her. "I doubt that my sister would want me there, but I will think on it." The invitation said that it was a masquerade party. "Would you like to come in?" I honestly didn't know what to say to her since she was human the last time I spoke with her.

"Not to worry about that. I told her to she better invite you guys. If she wasn't I wass so" She said as she stared inside. "Of course. It's been a little while since I've been here. Me and Rebekah hung out here for ditch day. You look different. Did you change your hair?" She knew that that wesn't true because he had never change it. He always kept it the same. Short and incrediably sexy.

I kept my demeanor cool and collected like I normally did as she walked into the house. I closed the door behind us. I motioned her towards the parlor as I spoke. "Now why would you want me invited? I have not been back to town since... What I thought was your true death." I had paused for a moment to find the right words. This whole time I didn't know that she died with vampire blood in her system and I really didn't have a reason to come back. Except to check up on Bekah. "Ditch day?" I asked a little unsure. "I'm assuming that means you two ditched a day of school." I gave her a slight disapproving look. Learning was something you should not miss out on, especially when one is so young. I raised my eyebrow at her when she asked about my hair and gave her a little smile which was only a twitch of my lip. "I have not done anything to my hair I assure you that." I cleared my throat, it was a little weird for her to be talking about my hair. "Perhaps it's because this is the first time you are seeing me as a vampire."

She smiled and just answered with a simple answer. I'm sure you would look dashing in a suit and mask. It's a masquerade party you see She noticed that he was having a hard time coming up with the words for her death. Yes I turned but i'm happy about it now. Yes, me and rebekah skipped school and hung out together. it's been awhile since I've had a friend like here. She doesn't judge eveything i do. She notices he answered her question about his hair. Oh I know I was just playing with you

I raised my eyebrow at her when she mentioned being happy about becoming a vampire. "What changed if you don't mind me asking." The last thing I knew, was the fact that she never wanted to become one of us. I was curious to know what changed. I shook my head a little when she talked about Rebekah and her skipping. "It's good to know that you two are friends. You both need it after everything that's happened." I wanted to apologize again for my actions in the past but I knew that I would probably never forgive myself for my actions even if she did. I smirked for once when I looked at her. "It's not wise to play with an Original."

I realized that maybe I wasn't meant for a human life. I mean come on. How many times have I've been captured, totured, and nearly killed because I wasn't able to protect myself. And how many of my friends lives did I destroy as collateral damage She knew as fist she was dead set against it but now she realzied alot of pain came with being human. Yes, I'm very glad were friends too. I know it's not wise to play with an Original. Don't you remeber when you said if you think you can beat me, you can't. I'm smart enough now to heed those words

I frowned slightly at Elena. We were all meant for human life... I trailed off there because I didn't want to go into the whole thing about us not being nature's creatures. And I didn't really want anyone to know my feelings on not being human anymore. And if I remember correctly you didn't nearly die, you have died. I stated bluntly, I even had a hand in the one. I didn't kill her but I betrayed her when I gave her my word that I'd kill Niklaus. You shouldn't have needed to protect yourself, not the way you've had to. I shook my head a little. Of course I remember and yet you still feel the need to play.

Hmm okay She knew that elijah wanted to say something more but she didn't push him. I know I'm dead no need to point that fact out. She smiled sarcastically. Well when you have Original vampire and a crazy hybrid chasing after you, you have to protect yourself. I'm sure that you have captured me once or twice She smiled as she walked around. It's just hard not to tease you. I'm sorry
