Run, Run, Run! That's all she could think. Some rouge newbie vampire was following her, her blood was dropping on the forest floor as she ran.
She was visiting her father's grave when the vampire came out of nowhere. He had a Lapis on, which meant someone was trying to protect him while he got the hang of the ropes. She had fallen back and cut herself on a tree, which started the chase. She was trying to get her bow and arrows out of her backpack so she could slow down the vamp before it attacked her, while doing so, she triped on the ground again. the vampire caught up to her, punching her first. She returned the punches, useing her fingers to push in his eye balls. Blood started pouring from the side. She got out, trying to get something, anything out of her pack when he attacked again, using his vampire senses to find her. He pinned her to the ground. "SOMEBODY!!!!HELP!!!!

I look up at the sound of yelling. I'm dressed in dark jeans, combat boots, and a black shirt. I reach into my waistband and take out a stake. I trudge quietly through the woods until I see a vampire pinning a girl to the ground. I launch myself at the vampire, tackling it to the ground. As soon as it hits the ground on its back I don't hesitate. The vampire is stunned so I take the opportunity. I lift my stake and plunge it into the vampire's heart. It's face turns ashen colored. I stand and walk over to the girl. Judging from her supplies she's a hunter too. Are you alright? She's pretty; I won't deny that. Very pretty. Stunning, really. Clearly not a very good hunter though, judging by the blood on her clothes.

She saw as the vamp had his fangs flared as much as possible, the veins around his eyes showing with the whites of his eyes darkening. She thought she was a goner, until she felt the vampire's weight lifted off of her. She looked up, crossbow in hand, aimed at her rescuer. She thought he was just another vamp looking for some sick and twisted competition before she saw how he killed the vampire, without a second thought. She lowered her crossbow as he addressed her. "Yeah. Thanks." she could tell he was a pro. Just by the way he took on the task before it got extremly serious. "I'm sorry. Newbie and all. Umm....Elizabeth Salvatore." she said, crossbow slinged on her shoulder, other hand extened out. Damn! He's hot! she thought to herself.

A small smile plays across my lips. I take her hand and pull her to her feet before giving it a normal hand shake. James Purser. Nice to meet you. I say politely. Don't be sorry. I was getting bored, anyway. How long have you been a hunter? I raise my eyebrows and chuckle slightly under my breath. Not too long, I'm guessing? It's a joke, in a polite manner. Not condescending, just a playful tease.

He helped to bring her up to her feet, taking her hand and shaking it when she was standing up. She couldnt help but not to smile in a guilty way. "Oh about, three or four weeks now? I can't really remeber." she said before grabing her bag up off the ground. She plaved an arm through the strap. "How about you? You look like you've been doing it a long time." she said, moving some hair out of her face.

I shrug and wipe the stake on the ground to get rid of the blood before putting it back in my waistband. Since I was 10. My father wasn't exactly a nurturing guy; my step father was twice as harsh. I run a hand through my hair and look at her. Thinking of my past brings back old thoughts. Old bad thoughts. Suicide, death. Not good. In the end, I suppose I'm all the better for it. I shake my head lightly. I'm not a conventional hunter, though. I only kill those who deserve death. I don't think all supernaturals deserve to die.

Eli stood there, wanting to cry as he told his story about his father figures. She knew where he was coming from. Her father did nothing for her, yet she did everything in the world for him. Then she began to smile at his last few statements. "I'm the same. My best friend is a vampire. My uncles and sole gaurdians are vampires. Most of my friends are vampires......I mean, yeah, i feel the same way." she ran a hand through her hair at her awkwardness. She hated that. And it only happened when she was around a boy she liked. She has barley been with this guy for three mintues and she already liked him. What the hell Eli?

I smile softly as I notice the feint blush on her cheeks. Do you want to go somewhere, and talk? I gesture around. The forest is nice, and as much fun as it was playing the hero, I'd prefer not to talk to a gorgeous girl while looking over my shoulder every five seconds. I look at her and raise my eyebrows in question.

"Gorgeous? Then you and I see two completely different people." The song that could only describe this girl was Reflection from Mulan. A Girl troubled with her own problem's. She saw herself as a great girl, but she was surrounded by darkness and death. She felt like her reflection was showing her someone she wanted to be instead of who she was. She began to walk back to the graveyard, which was about a football field and a half from where they were now. "So what brings a mysterious, teenage hero named james out to the forest on a day like this?" she asked him.

I chuckle and fall into step beside her. Oh you know, the usual. Saving girls. I shake my head. No I'm just trying to clear my head; one way or another. By the way, the only person I see is you, and you are beautiful, whether you believe it or not, you are. A small smile plays across my lips as I put my hands in my pockets as we walk.

"You remind me of my uncles. Well, at least one of them." she said, brining her right hand up the her left ear, placing the same piece of hair behind it. Indeed, he did slightly remind her of Damon. The way he would play of situations before explaining what he was really doing. "Flatery will only get you so far in the real world that we live in." she said, as they passed the clearing and entered the graveyard. She stopped by a grave and picked up her jacket and cell phone that she dropped when she was attacked.

I nod. I happen to know of your uncles; so I'm curious. Which one? I ask her. I agree, actions speak louder than words. I'm not a fan of empty words. I shake my head, thinking of all the times I've been screwed over by my family and "friends."
