History: Dave was born in Seattle, Washington. He had a good family life, when he was 4, his brother, Jonathan, was born. When he was 9, his little sister, Katharine was born. Dave was a successful football and lacrosse player at a young age, but his passion was always music and dogs. He secretly worked at animal shelters, training the dogs on the weekends.
When he was 16, both his parents and siblings were killing in a spur of the moment shooting. Dave, as per his parents’ will, was sent off to a Boarding School in North Carolina. He studied hard and made good grades. He made friends and participated in school events, playing for the lacrosse team. He liked parties, but he was always responsible. However, Dave came off as a rather arrogant guy, when in reality, Dave had simply put up a wall to protect himself from getting hurt again. He always is kind to others, but he had a habit of coming off as a pretentious ass. His family came from a lot of money.
When he graduated high school he went to Vanderbilt on a full-ride academic/athletic scholarship. He majored in business as well as music theory, but he took many classes on dogs and their training. He bought a German Shepherd, Johnny, at the beginning of college and has had him since he was a puppy.
Once he graduated, he moved to Mystic Falls to get away from big cities. He started a dog training company and he’s been working there as owner and head-trainer ever since. However, a few weeks ago, Eric and his best friend, Josh, were driving home from the bar, both sober, when they were T-boned by a drunk driver. Josh was killed, but Eric survived. He has been living with this guilt for weeks now, and it’s starting to tear him apart.
